About

Hi! My name is Tess French. I’m 27 years old and live in Stamford, CT. I graduated from college with a bachelors degree in advertising and promotions and have worked in the corporate world for over 5 years in advertising & technology sales. When I’m not working, I love trying out new recipes and creating meals that are healthy but tasty! I’ve also found that a long run or good sweat sesh is all I need to clear my mind. Although I enjoy my current career my true passion lies in nutrition, fitness, wellness and helping others along their journey.

While I’ve always loved learning about nutrition, my own health has become a big concern to me since I’ve always dealt with a smorgasbord of stomach issues, hives, anxiety and stress. From high school on, I really started to notice the impact it had on my life. Over the past few years I’ve tried going to doctors, a gastroenterologist and therapists. While doing so, I was hoping for them to tell me a straight answer or something specific. I was waiting to hear something was wrong with me that I could easily pin point. That way I could take a medication and POOF! I’d be all better. Everything came back relatively normal and I was given probiotics to help, which didn’t seem to do the trick. After going through all the motions and never getting a real answer, I realized I had to take it upon myself to find out what works best for me. I did my own research and by process of an elimination found out I have a gluten sensitivity. I noticed a change in my health and a complete decline is my harsh stomach pains. I struggled with finding satisfying meals to make that are gluten free so I decided to start a blog to capture all my recipes and findings. My goal is to help others build healthy habits and live a balanced lifestyle. I hope to encourage them to find the fun in cooking and how healthy eating can still be delicious and satisfying.
